One of the best weekends of sports throughout the year

As an overall sports fan, there are a few weeks a year that are just amazing. Yes, if you love football the whole season may be awesome for you. Same with other major sports like baseball and basketball.

For me, I have an affinity for many sports. Baseball is my first love, but I am also a fan of football, tennis, golf, and college basketball. I don't follow boxing or Nascar.

ESPN News is one of my 'go-to' channels. You know what I mean by 'go-to' channels, right? Go-to channels are those channels that you go to when 'there is nothing else on'. (Hilarious to think that in this day and age of hundreds of channels that there could be nothing on, right?) I have a few other 'go-to' channels but ESPN News is a big one.   

Anyway, this weekend, Sept 11th and 12th, we have some great sports to enjoy. First, of course, this is opening weekend of the NFL season. The MLB pennant races are heating up. College football has begun. The PGA tour is in full swing (pun intended), and one of my favorite events, the U.S. Open Tennis tournament, promises to be, as always, thrilling.

So while I will go out and do some running and other outdoor activities as I always do, you can bet that I'll also spend a great deal of time this weekend inside enjoying the televised broadcasts of all of these amazing athletic competitions.
